Mickey and Minnie Mouse Arrested Outside Walt Disney Studios

Today in publicity stunt news, two protesters suited up as Mickey and Minnie Mouse were arrested after chaining themselves to the gates outside of Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. Surprisingly they weren't protesting the monstrous Cars 2 merchandising campaign that will terrorize next year's holiday shopping season, but the company's use of paper containing a fiber component from endangered Indonesian rain forests for its children's books. Take a look at the saddest protest site you've ever seen and Disney's official response to the spectacle ahead.

Disney addressed impostor Mickey, impostor Minnie, and the Rainforest Action Network today with a press release that called the event "nothing more than a publicity stunt." And to clarify, "We only work with manufacturers who have committed to us that they will only use sustainable paper."

As for the protesters, perhaps they'll want to cue up the theme from one of their animated brethren: Charlie Brown.

Protest? - That's what Disney wants you to think. In reality Minnie got busted for turning tricks with "Big Pimpin' Mickey" standing by to collect his cheese.

Don't you mean next year's CHRISTMAS shopping season? Or are you participating in the media War of Christmas in which the word "Christmas" is your Lord Voldemort: the name that shall not be mentioned?
