Disney Has a Fifth Pirates of the Caribbean Script Ready For Johnny Depp

PiratesoftheCaribbean150.jpgJust because Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides doesn't hit theaters until May 20 does not mean that Disney isn't forecasting the future of its profitable franchise. Over the weekend, screenwriter Terry Rossio (who co-wrote The Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest, At World's End, and On Stranger Tides) delivered a fifth script for Jack Sparrow and Co. to the studio. Johnny Depp has said that he would reprise his role as the charming pirate depending on the "story, script and filmmaker" but would like a break after this month's On Stranger Tides. [THR]

This guy hasn't come up with a truly good script yet, so YEAH, make the fifth one too! The newest one looks as horribly awful as the last two, but what does that matter? The thing can get reviews in the toilet but as long as it makes $100 million on opening weekend, keep 'em coming!
