That's right: the lovely Ms. Lively gets her own place among the 100, complete with a blurb about her relevance written by Baz Luhrmann -- the same Baz Luhrmann who didn't cast her in The Great Gatsby. All of which begs the question: What is Blake Lively doing on the TIME 100?
Feel free to discuss that in the comments below, as well as any or all of the following:
· Mark Wahlberg makes the list, but not other influential actor-producers like Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Smith?
· He might be old-hat by now, but shouldn't any list of world-impacting people have George Clooney mentioned somewhere?
· Outside of Lively, the only other Hollywood women listed are the aforementioned Oprah, Amy Poehler and Mia Wasikowska. Was there no room for Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Jodie Foster, Lisa Cholodenko, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, or any other number of fantastic female icons?
· Does the inclusion of Justin Bieber on the list mean we can expect a sequel to Never Say Never? Does the exclusion of Lady Gaga mean her path to the big screen has been slowed?
The floor is yours, dear Movieline readers; let's dissect the TIME 100.
