Watch Ashton Kutcher's Bizarrely Jokey Anti-Child Sex Slavery PSAs

Did you put any bananas in your cereal this morning? Because Ashton Kutcher may have. As part of his "Real Men Don't Buy Girls" campaign, the celebrity do-gooder has produced a set of new videos that inform the public about the perils of child sex slavery. Which would be great, if the videos weren't so insanely tone-deaf.

Starring the likes of Bradley Cooper, Sean Penn, Justin Timberlake, Jamie Foxx and Eva Longoria, the PSAs attempt to replicate, in Kutcher's words, "that offbeat feel of Funny or Die." Because nothing says "child sex-slavery is a terrible, horrible, unthinkable crime" like Funny or Die videos. The mere fact that Kutcher got such a roster of talent to speak out against something as serious as child sex slavery is commendable, but maybe there was a better way to go about it? Just sayin'.

Credit them for thinking outside of the boring "serious message" box.
These spots, to me, are kind of weird in exactly the way you've described because it's a subject matter that should NEVER be joked about.
But if that made you post the story and me comment on it, it'll obviously call a lot of attention to the issue being discussed.
Kudos, I say. (But I still think I need to take a shower after watching them.)
