Guys, some dubious remakes are on the way (including The Crow with Bradley Cooper -- run, Bradley, it's a trap!), but here's one we can get behind: The 1972 Jamaican classic The Harder They Come is coming back as a remake. The original starred Jimmy Cliff as a reggae singer who turns to a life of crime and violence, but producer Justine Henzell (whose father Perry wrote and directed the original) is confident the new verison can honor the original while remaining fresh. I know one dancing reggae superstar who should be included. [Latino Review]
