Blake Lively May Rumble with Savages, and 6 Other Stories You'll Be Talking About Today

Also in this Tuesday edition of The Broadsheet: Alec Baldwin and Woody Allen team up once again... Another original American Pie cast member heads to Reunion... the 24 movie gets an update... and more ahead.

· Moss don't gather on Blake Lively. The in-demand actress is apparently the front-runner to play the female lead in Oliver Stone's adaptation of Savages -- an opportunity that may prevent her from playing Glinda the Good Witch in Sam Raimi's Oz. Savages -- based on the bestseller by Don Winslow -- follows two drug dealers (Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson) who get in way over their heads; Oz is a prequel of sorts to The Wizard of Oz. Because of her commitments to Gossip Girl, Lively can likely only chose one to shoot this summer. Girl is busy. Here's one vote for Savages, but your mileage may vary. [Variety]

· This feels just about right: Alec Baldwin will head to Rome this summer to co-star with Penelope Cruz in the next Woody Allen film; Baldwin previously worked with Allen in Alice over twenty years ago. Deadline also reports that The Social Network's Jesse Eisenberg is in stammering talks for a role in the untitled film. [Deadline]

· This one time, at band camp, Alyson Hannigan decided to appear in American Reunion -- probably because her deal will buy plenty of flutes. The new film -- which reunites most of the cast (hey, Tara Reid!) -- will, shockingly, deal with a high school reunion. [Deadline]

· Someone really thinks you want to see a 24 movie. The latest participant hyping up the fan base? Brian Grazer. "Got off the phone Keifer [Sutherland] yesterday," Grazer wrote on Twitter, "and we are very excited about producing the 24 movie for next year." Looking forward to it? [@RealBrianGrazer via EW]

· In an email to Ain't It Cool, Sylvester Stallone confirms that Walter Hill will direct Headshot. Hill replaces the departed Wayne Kramer. [AICN]

· He's King of the Third Dimension! James Cameron and cinematographer Vince Pace have formed a 3-D production company. Said Pace in a statement, the idea is to "step up industry-wide efforts to help filmmakers realize 3D's full potential as a creative and powerful storytelling medium and accelerate the growth of the next generation of 3D solutions across all platforms." · Bernardo Bertolucci will be given the Honorary Palme d'Or during the opening festivities at the Festival de Cannes next month. [Deadline]
