Vote in the Finals of Movieline's Inaugural Basketball Movie Tournament!

For the teams in Movieline's inaugural basketball movie tournament, the last four days have been grueling. After all, VCU may have had to defeat Kanas to get to the real Final Four, but Space Jam was forced to beat the Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island. Did Jam have enough to make it into the finals? Click ahead to find out, and then vote for your champion.

Well, this is somewhat surprising: White Men Can't Jump has unexpectedly made it to the finals. An upset! Then again, Ron Shelton knows how to make a good sports movie, and he had two chances (along with Blue Chips) in this tournament. On the other hand, the inclusion of Hoosiers in the final game surprises nobody. (Honestly, this tournament could have just been called the "Which Movie will Lose to Hoosiers in the Finals.") You've been voting all week, but there is still one last match to play. At this time tomorrow, one of these classics will be forever labeled "Movieline's Best Basketball Movie." Until we do this all again next year.

Tough call. Both films are obviously dated, but Hoosiers feels like a period piece, while White Men feels feels like, "Spandex! Yo Momma snaps! It's the early 90s, ladies and gentlemen!"
Hoosiers, though, suffers from the Casablanca-esque complex of "Why do I feel like I've seen this before? Oh yeah, because 20 movies ripped it off." More influential, but do you want to watch it again?
