Comic Book Guys: Warner Bros. Planning Justice League, Possibly Batman Reboot

As mentioned earlier, Jeff Robinov will take over as president of the Warner Bros. motion picture group this week, and apparently he's already got some ideas about where the studio should go in the next five years: Back to the comic book shop with Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and maybe the entire Justice League.

Robinov says that scripts are already being written for big screen takes about Flash and Wonder Woman, but the holy grail remains Justice League. Apparently, there is a script for that one, too -- a previous incarnation of Justice League had been in development in 2007, but was scuttled by the Writers Guild strike -- and Robinov hopes to have it in theaters in 2013. Don't expect David Fincher to direct.

As for Batman, once Christopher Nolan has his final say on the character in 2012 with The Dark Knight Rises, Robinov hopes to reboot the franchise again. "We have the third Batman, but then we'll have to reinvent Batman," he told the Los Angeles Times. "Chris Nolan and [producing partner and wife] Emma Thomas will be producing it, so it will be a conversation with them about what the next phase is." Start your casting speculations now?

There are six other characters in the header illustration who are capable of supporting healthy franchises (two of which are already in production). Leave Batman alone for a while and give Nolan's vision some breathing room. Hollywood says "reboot" now like a meth junkie screaming for his next fix.

Will they make any movies based on books without pictures?
Or is that too much to ask for?
