Move over, Olsen twins: Sylvester Stallone is stepping into the fashion ring with his own celebrity clothing line. And according to a recent article in Women's Wear Daily, the first wave of his lifestyle brand for men will take inspiration from Stallone's iconic Rocky and Rambo films, because of course. So what exactly can we expect from the design house of Sly?
"Rocky at the end of the day is a love story while Rambo showcases the other side of masculinity," company exec Michael Henry said to WWD, explaining very little in regards to the "why" of it all. Per snazzy dresser Stallone's personal flair, the line will offer something for both "the rebel and the gentleman." Riiiight. WWD does report that Sly's label will eventually include "jeans, shirts, outerwear, underwear and watches... eyewear, grooming products, fragrance, activewear, and athletic shoes," which offers a slightly better idea of what to expect when Stallone unveils his first collection in 2012.
Exactly how the Sly, Inc. design line will integrate fashion cues from Rocky and Rambo is still a mystery -- so naturally, Movieline took the opportunity to speculate on potential designer Slywear items based on some of Stallone's most iconic movie roles. Click here to launch the slideshow!
