Comic Book Movie Round-Up: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Officially Joins The Bat Family While Captain America Heads For Reshoots

It wouldn't be a proper day here at the Movieline Terrordrome unless we breathlessly pass along some news from one of the eighty billion comic book movies in development. And today we've got a twofer! One from the darkest corners of Gotham City and another from the battlefields of World War II.

First, the news from the family Chiroptera is slightly anticlimatic but useful nonetheless. As long rumored, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has officially joined the cast of The Dark Knight Rises. No word who he might be playing (Hugo Strange? Robin? Batmite?) but he'll be joined by Juno Temple (Year One, Atonement), who is playing "a street smart Gotham girl." Just like En Vogue!

Next in News on the March is the word that Captain America is headed into reshoots in advance of its July 22 premiere. While it could be a sign that the production may be in trouble, more likely is the scenario that these are scheduled reshoots for pick-ups and missed coverage. I've still got my fingers crossed for you, Cap! Don't let me down!
