Well, in the case of Hammers, an apparently charming little indie diversion -- the film screened at SXSW on Tuesday night and garnered some fairly positive reactions from the blogosphere. Directed by 27-year-old Brian Crano, Hammers follows two small-time crooks who steal cars from funerals, but have their life turned upside down when they encounter the aforementioned abandoned boy. I'm a natural sucker for these types of films -- The Blind Side and happythankyoumoreplease just got me -- so count me among those looking forward to Hammers. That Rebecca Hall co-stars is only gravy.
VERDICT: Nailed it! (Groaaaaaaaaaaan)
