Dancing With the Stars' New Cast Lacking Stars, and 6 Other Stories You'll Be Talking About Today

Also in this Tuesday edition of The Broadsheet: Melissa Leo lines up her next bad mom... Tim Burton heads to Notre Dame... Katie Holmes is reportedly suing Star... and more ahead.

· It's always easy to harp on Dancing With the Stars for having precious few stars, but this feels particularly egregious. Here's the loaded line-up for season 12: Sugar Ray Leonard, Chelsea Kane, Romeo, Ralph Macchio, Petra Nemcova, Kendra Wilkinson, Hines Ward, Mike Catherwood (he's a Los Angeles DJ nicknamed "Psycho"), Wendy Williams, Chris Jericho, and Kirstie Alley. You'll notice a decided lack of witchy woman Christine O'Donnell, but that's because she reportedly turned down the Stars producers. [ABC]

· Begin the typecasting! Oscar winner Melissa Leo has reportedly been cast alongside fellow nominee Jesse Eisenberg and Tracy Morgan (!) in Predisposed. The film revolves around the difficult relationship between an addled mother (Leo) and her overachieving son (Eisenberg); Morgan co-stars as a drug dealer named "Sprinkles." Of course. Fun fact: Predisposed went to Sundance as a short film in 2009, with Leo in the leading role. [Vulture]

· This could be fun: Josh Brolin and Tim Burton are teaming up for a live-action attempt at The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Don't get too excited just yet, though: Burton still has to direct Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp. [THR/Heat Vision]

· If this is true, good for Katie Holmes. The actress is reportedly suing Star publisher American Media, Inc. because of a recent cover story in the magazine about Holmes being addicted to drugs. [Wrap]

· If this is true, poor Malin Akerman. The actress has reportedly taken the female lead opposite Nicolas Cage in Medallion. Log line! "The story, with shades of Taken, follows a father -- a former master thief -- who has only a few hours to find his daughter when she is kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a New York medallion taxi cab." · James Franco: Big in Canada. [NYT]

· "My friend Hans Zimmer is currently writing a beautiful piece of music," said Johnny Marr on Twitter. "I know that because he's always writing a beautiful piece of music." Considering the two worked together on Inception, can we assume this is for The Dark Knight Rises? [@Johnny_Marr]
