Clash of the Titans Sequel Will Be Converted to 3-D

clash-titans-worthington_120.jpgRelease the crappy? In an interview with Cinematical, director Jonathan Liebesman said that his Clash of the Titans sequel (titled Wrath of the Titans) would be given the post-conversion 3-D treatment, much like the derided first film. The difference? "I think what you have to remember is the first film was neither shot nor edited with 3D in mind," said Liebesman. "[T]hey decided to convert it with six or seven weeks to go until release, which is insane; the technology was not there. That's why we're conceiving it from the start, from the ground up, in 3D, editing in 3D for 3D." Sounds like a plan. My designer 3-D glasses are already on order. [Cinematical]

So if everything is conceived from the start to be in 3D, why don't they um, you know, actually shoot it in 3D?

I`m never seeing a converted 3D movie again fool me once... you get the picture would rather blow my brains out

You just know these dolts are going to take the screw-up all the way, and then have the third installment NOT be shown in 3-D.

  • Here that sound? Is it the death knell for 3D?
It may be up to Baz Lurhmann and Martin Scorsese to save the flailing medium in 2011.
