Great news for everyone involved! Except maybe Christina Aguilera.
The singer -- who you may have noticed butchered the "The Star-Spangled Banner" during the pre-game ceremonies -- apparently took the mistake to heart. She released a statement commenting on the error to the Associated Press: "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through," my hacked to pieces lyrics. Ahem.
For her part, Fergie -- who experienced her own vocal malfunctions during the torturous Black Eyed Peas halftime performance -- had Aguilera's back. "It's such a huge venue, your nerves take a hold of you," said Fergie on The Dan Patrick Show. "I completely understand. She's one of the best singers of our time. Nobody can take that away from you. ... But you get nervous at these things. We're human." No word yet on what Cher thought of Xtina's performance.
