Help Movieline Caption the Year's Most Confusing Awards-Season Photo

So you might have heard the SAG Awards went off last night. Maybe you even watched the telecast, or maybe you were actually there. Perhaps you also attended one of the afterparties and hobnobbed with luminaries like Harvey Weinstein and Darren Aronofsky. There's an outside chance you even had your photo taken with them! Living the dream! Right, Busy Philipps?

Sorry, that's really all I've got for this. I'd love to know what this trio discussed over drinks. The Super Bowl? Egypt? Historical inaccuracies in The King's Speech? Guess away...

They're only hanging around me because I know James Franco and they think he has weed.

  • Feet of Courier says:

Harv! Darren! Whaddya say? Summer 2012, "White Chicks 3"... D! Who's with me? Harv? Darren?

  • The Winchester says:

Before the night is over, Franco will have sex with two people in this picture.
And he'll make a movie about the life of the third.

  • Yournameisstvanairsdale? says:

Oh I get it. Because people who work in television are morons and people who work in movies are geniuses. Well observed. What does that make people who write for online magazines?

  • S.T. VanAirsdale says:

Very, very patient, especially with people like you.

  • forever1267 says:

Maybe they were mesmerized by the dress.

  • davem says:

i hope this is not in any way a backhanded swipe at cougartown, cause thems fightin words.

  • Feet of Courier says:

I can't wait for the Franco opus, "Busy Philipps: A life."

  • S.T. VanAirsdale says:

    What's Cougar Town?

  • boo says:

What's the point here? Are you saying that one of these people is not worthy of being in a picture with the two other people? Seems like a pretty disgusting sentiment.

  • Morrowland says:

Are you implying that an actor most seen in televised comedic roles doesn't have a legitimate future in film...and thus seems odd to be mingling with moguls & directors?
Or is it because a female is involved? If a pre-Ron Burgandy Will Ferrell were standing there rather than Ms. Philipps, would you have made the same snide comment?
It would appear that talent will win in the end. In her many roles Busy Philipps has already demonstrated her deeply insightful acting chops, if you choose to follow and watch her work; she will continue to do quite well in her chosen field. Sadly, this shallow reaction to a picture of her has left me immune to any future trust in commentary from S.T. VANAIRSDALE, whoever that may be. That you represent Movieline is a big letdown and should be an embarrassment to senior management.

I think your patience could be put to better use. Like finding something worth writing about.

  • KevyB says:

I have to agree. Busy's in an awesome show and it isn't like Aronofsky or Weinstein are A-List luminaries. I'd hate to read the caption had it been a lowly stage actor hanging out with TWO MOVIE PEOPLE (GASP)!
