James Cameron Says Avatar Sequels Due on Christmas 2014, 2015

James Cameron is nothing if not a planner. "I am in the process of writing the next two Avatar films now," he tells EW. "[W]e will probably release them not quite back to back, but about a year apart. Christmas '14 and '15 is the current plan." Translation: You've got a bit of time before having to worry about pre-ordering tickets. That doesn't mean you can't speculate about what 3-D technology will be like in three years, of course! Here's hoping it gets replaced with actual Na'vi aliens performing on stage. [EW]
