Here Are Actual Approved Photos and Poster for X-Men: First Class. Seriously.
Oh, internet! First you give us an unofficial, grainy looks at the first photo of the characters in X-Men: First Class, then you give us a supposedly official, high-res look at the same photo...and now you tell us that wasn't official either. In fact, director Matthew Vaughn is furious about that last photo. So furious, that he's going to say the F-word several times and give us actual official photos of Michael Fassbender as Magneto and James McAvoy as Professor Xavier. Meanwhile, an equally approved poster for the film has hit as well. See all three and read more about Vaughn's take on the film after the jump.
Apparently, Vaughn has no idea where the photo came from, but immediately "freaked out" on Fox and also called up / Film. Quoth Vaughn:
"...When I found out, I said, what the f*ck is this sh*t, and Fox is running around trying to figure out what happened as well. I agree. It's like a bad photoshop, which maybe it was by someone. It didn't reflect the movie."
Vaughn also added, that they "are not bastardizing the X-Men" and that "The costumes are blue and yellow as well, because f*ck it, lets take it back it the original." Sound logic, I suppose. He insists the movie will be more grounded and serious and much closer to Casino Royale than J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot.
Anyway, here's Magneto karate chopping the air with his hand (and probably manipulating some off-screen metal). But will it be any match for Professor Xavier's "I-know exactly-what-I'm-doing-and-how-I'm-going-to-do-it" stare? Doubtful. Also, we've got the first mutant-less poster for the film, courtesy of Ain't It Cool News.

"...And 'X' never, ever, marks the spot."
Had geeks and nerds throughout the internet not shit all over the first photo, something tells me that Vaughn and Fox wouldn't be in panic mode.
I am positively F---ing LIVID that everyone is talking about our movie! I'll tell you right now, NOBODY better go over to that web site and give our graphics free publicity. And if any site posts the "unofficial" release date of June 3 they will be served with a restraining order . . . by the second month after posting!
I guess someone didn't get the memo that Xavier was already bald when he met Magneto.
Prequels suck.
Why does Magneto looks so clean?
Looks like ads for palmolive and excedrin.
Hollywood ruined the X-Men!!! They could have made many successful movies, but they didn't take it seriously! The X-Men cartoon was way better
