It Hasn't Gotten Better for Rupert Everett and 6 Other Stories You'll Be Talking About Today

Also in this Monday edition of The Broadsheet: Quentin Tarantino names his best films of 2010... Mila Kunis now officially home alone... the 24 movie hits a snag... and more ahead.

· Add Rupert Everett to the list of actors who think staying in the closet is beneficial the careers of Hollywood leading men. "I don't blame them, I think that's very sensible," Everett told the BBC. "If I hadn't been someone who liked going out, a kind of sex maniac and wanted to go to raves and circuit parties, I'd definitely have stayed in the closet as well." The outspoken star of My Best Friend's Wedding says there's a "phobia" about him since he came out, and that's why he has trouble getting major roles. "Compared to Hugh [Grant] or Colin [Firth], I'm more or less in the same territory. The feeling from [an unnamed British producer], he thinks of me, he looked at me as five years ago, as a musty queen, and that's that." Happy New Year? [BBC via The Wrap]

· Because you asked for it, Quentin Tarantino has named his top-20 films of 2010. Toy Story 3, The Social Network and Animal Kingdom top the list, which also includes True Grit, Tangled, Knight and Day and Jackass 3D among others. As Sasha Stone points out, Sofia Coppola's Somewhere is not listed despite winning top honors at Venice Film Festival, where Tarantino was a judge. Hmm... [Awards Daily]

· Mila Kunis and Macauley Culkin have ended their seven-year relationship. "The split was amicable, and they remain close friends," her representatives told Page Six. Will this be Kunis' own personal Norbit?! OMG! [Huffington Post]

· Bad news for Jack Bauer. Fox has reportedly passed on the Billy Ray script for the 24 film. "As far as I know, it is in suspended animation," former 24 executive producer Howard Gordon told EW. "There is talk about re-approaching it. I understand [director/producer] Tony Scott is meeting with Kiefer [Sutherland] to talk about ideas. People are still talking about it." Ugh, why? Can't we silent clock this thing and get it over with? [EW]

· Speaking of Fox, they're reportedly developing a comedy with the hilarious JB Smoove. Yes, please. [Deadline]

· Stars, they're just like us: They love Black Swan! "Natalie Portman in Black Swan, beautiful performance," wrote Russell Crowe on Twitter. "Excellent movie." [@russellcrowe]

· Here's an actual headline: "Paula Abdul: 'I have a brain.'" Good to know. [Zap2it]
