Good Wife Status Update: Social Network Episode Coming!

The Good Wife is about to poke a little fun at The Social Network. A meta-ish episode of the CBS legal drama slated to air in February will revolve around Patric, a "sincere, shy, and unremarkable suburban kid in sandals and a hoodie" whose website has made him a fortune. The problem?

The billionaire wunderkind is upset about his depiction in a movie about his life, and he's suing the producers for defamation. Intent on restoring his good name and reputation, Patric hires Will (Josh Charles) to represent him.

The role is currently being cast. Interested actors should be in their mid 20s and, presumably, bear at least a passing resemblance to Mark Zuckerberg.

How is this interesting, The Good Wife?? I've already seen The Social Network. It was excellent and there's no reason for anyone to already rip it off. Blah. I'll be happily watching PARENTHOOD on NBC instead.

    How about Michael Cera? Haha.

Um, you might want to read the post again, Chloe. The case will not be about how he ripped on the idea for Facebook from someone else and the ensuing lawsuit that occurred (which is what The Social Network is about). The case is about the issue of having a movie made of your life story without your consent and the lawsuit that occurs from that. So, it's actually not a "rip off" of the movie in any way.

Sorry but The Social Network wasn't all that good. While the Good Wife is great, one of the best TV shows on right now.
