Four Score and Seven Milkshakes Ago: Daniel Day-Lewis Will Play Lincoln for Steven Spielberg

· Hide the bowling pins! Steven Spielberg announced today that he's cast Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln in his long, long, long gestating adaptation of Doris Kearns Goodwin's Team of Rivals. Titled Lincoln -- and adapted by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner Tony Kushner -- the film will shoot next fall with an eye toward a release in the fourth quarter of 2012. · Not to be outdone by Spielberg and DDL, Leonard DiCaprio will star in Legacy of Secrecy, a new film about the Kennedy assassination. Of course between Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar Hoover film, Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby and an adaptation of the best-selling book, Devil in the White City, just when DiCaprio plans on making Secrecy is up for debate. [Vulture]
