Hammer spoke with Vulture at length about his digitally enhanced (and awesome) performance in David Fincher's Oscar contender, but still found time to discuss the possibility of donning the iconic blue tights. "I did talk to my people recently about [Zack Snyder's film] for the first time, and I think they're going a little older with Superman," said Hammer. "I hear they're going 35, 40."
Interesting, Armie. Verrrrry interesting. Of course this flies in the face of the superhero reboot conventions (see: Marc Webb's Spider-Man), but it would certainly please a lot of people, including Jon Hamm himself. When he was asked about playing Superman last month, the actor said, "[I]f the powers that be are thinking that, I'd like them to get in touch with me. Maybe we can discuss it." Perhaps he should be expecting that phone call...if he hasn't gotten it already.
