· Dreamworks has set Dec. 28, 2011 as the release date for Steven Spielberg's War Horse. Never mind that Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin opens on Dec. 23, 2011. "We think there's room for a couple of holiday movies during that season," said Dreamworks' Stacey Snider.
· Attention mom and dad: Tonight's episode of The Whole Truth will be preempted by a 20/20 special report on the Chilean miners. This is probably the first step toward cancellation for the underwhelming newcomer.
· Former Lost producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are pitching a new "fairytale-themed" drama series to ABC. Why should you care? Because Lost executive producer Damon Lindelof is reportedly on board as a consultant.
· ABC is also developing a series based on Romeo & Juliet with Twilight direct Catherine Hardwicke possibly on hand to direct.
