After years of pitching woo and hungry for some of that sweet, sweet Marmaduke money, Twentieth Century Fox finally convinced Family Circus creator Bil Keane that what the people of the world needed now was a movie where fat-headed little gnome-children say things like "pasketti and meepballs," while their dead grandfather glares at them from a cloud. No casting news yet, but I anticipate a Spider-Man like feeding frenzy over which hot new actor and actress will be cast as Jeffy and spectral demon Ida Know. I imagine Daniel Day-Lewis already has the pivotal role of "Dotted Line That Follows Billy Around" sewn up -- the man is a professional.
