I visited the profiles of a very long list of Facebook employees searching for status updates about the company outing. Ironically, it turns out that Facebook employees value their privacy -- very few even made their walls available to the public, and not many of those who did posted about the film. That said, a few comments that did mention it were actually positive. Here's what was posted publicly:
· "Justin Bishop in response to a friend: Yes we were wearing facebook tshirts. And yes I did like it. ;o)"
· Ezra Callahan: "Saw the social network. Entertaining even if a little off from reality. Glad I wasn't in it though."
· In response to a friend asking if he had a character in the movie, Robert Johnson: "The sorority girl with the cocaine was loosely based on me."
· Cameron Marlow: "This is the most meta experience of my work life."
· Four employees posted links to this article which takes the film to task for its bias and factual omissions.
If you can't beat 'em...
