TV Bites: You Won't Be Seeing That Heroes Movie After All

· Bad news for all seven remaining Heroes fans. It's looking very unlikely that NBC will allow creator Tim Kring to go ahead with a closure-filled TV movie to cap off the now-canceled series. There is still a chance, however, that Kring could continue the stories online or in print. Uh-huh. In related news: The Veronica Mars movie is still not happening either. [EW]

· Because you need another show to watch this fall, HBO announced that In Treatment will return for season three on Oct. 25. In addition to star Gabriel Byrne, new cast members include Amy Ryan and Debra Winger. [Deadline]

· The next season of Caprica, SyFy's Battlestar Galactica prequel, was set to premiere in January. Under the decree that every show ever must premiere in the fall, however, the network has moved up its return to Oct. 15. Thanks guys! [Blastr]

· American Dad producer Bob Kushell has sold two comedy pitches. Red Roofs goes to Fox; it's an animated series that "revolves around the quirky citizens of a suburban subdivision." NBC gets his untitled multi-camera comedy about a family dealing with the death of their patriarch, who had been living a double-life. So, Arrested Development. Got it. [Variety]

· Showtime has ordered another season of The Green Room with Paul Provenza. [THR]
