Thespians, Take Note: Chris Klein was Spellbinding in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

· Some of us grew up on the video game classic Street Fighter II and are offended by its cinematic legacy: First came 1994's scathingly received Jean Claude Van Damme version and just a couple years ago there was Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Noted Mamma Mia auditioner Chris Klein, who played Detective Charlie Nash in the latter film, may have been (diplomatic pause) a little hammy in it. Here's every line he uttered in the movie. I guarantee Van Damme will seem subtle in comparison. [Videogum]

· Betty White may be overworked, these activists suggest. We need a "Leave Betty Alone" viral moment, STAT. [Jezebel]

· Actress Wanda de Jesus is "leaving" Law & Order: Los Angeles after shooting two episodes. [Deadline]

· Meanwhile, Raising the Bar survivor Melissa Sagemiller will replace Law & Order: SVU's Paula Patton, who decided to take a part in Mission: Impossible 4 instead. [EW]

· Lucky us, the cast of the damn addictive Pretty Little Liars cannot keep secrets about the show. They're pretty little honest people. [ONTD]

Wow. No wonder Klein drinks. A lot.

  • Louis says:

This is needlessly cruel. Why kick the man when he's down? It's obvious that his life and career are in ruins; so, why twist the knife? He has a DUI. He's in rehab.
I've never read stories that said he was a diva, jerk, or cruel. He's not Charlie Sheen who beats (allegedly) his women. So, why the venom?

  • TurdBlossom says:

You ask this on a snark based site about movies and entertainment ?

  • The Winchester says:

Hopefully this video goes viral and thousands more people see it than they did the movie.
Because I keep saying "Nash out!" whenever I leave a conversation, and I just get strange looks.

  • The Winchester says:

There is no allegedly, Charlie Sheen beat her. Just like the Starship Trooper, too. And let's not forget that he actually, literally (not allegedly) shot Kelly Preston back in the 80s.
He shot a woman. And we reward him with how many million an episode of the worst sitcom made?

  • Buddy says:

Hey, Sheen's scum. So, why does CBS continue to employ him and give him a FAT raise? Well, duh, he brings in the money!!
Nothing beats the corrupt, immoral culture that rules the world.
Thank God Sheen can make us laugh with his Peter Pan impression every Monday night on CBS!!
As for Klein, snark is fine but this is just cruel. There is a difference.

  • Luis says:

Snark and sarcasm are one thing but this is just plain wrong. Why not go after a real douchebag? Someone evil who really does damage other people?
Sheen pulls crap that should land him in jail for years or decades but he gets a slap on the wrist. Where's supposedly liberal Hollywood deploring this guy's misogyny? Probably the same place as the refusal to work with anti-semitic, racist, and homophobic Mel Gibson? Right? Right!
    Money talks.

  • ha says:

So he was first his generations Keanu Reeves. Now he's turned into Jason Lee.

  • HwoodHills says:

    One word:
    "Ouch."
(Hopefully there's an AMERICAN PIE 4 scheduled soon.)

  • Benjy says:

You're a little late to this meme, fellas. By a few years in fact.
Also, that is not even close to every line he says in the movie. And I haven't even seen it.
