I'm not sure if it's part of the new TSA safety regulations, but I believe you are physically not allowed to board a plane unless you are carrying a copy of Stieg Larsson's Lisbeth Salander trilogy. So for all you weary travelers, enjoy the first leaked photos of Rooney Mara in action as Salander -- if you can call sitting indian-style while casually removing your jacket action. But, hey, she looks pretty close to what I envisioned Lisbeth looking like.

Wasn't she JUST cast in this and they are filming already? Noomi Rapace had MONTHS to train for the Swedish film...

I am sorry, but Noomi Rapace looks like Lisbeth Salander. Rooney Mara looks like someone with a bad hair day.
Jesus, guys. Give the lady a break. She's taking a break, out of performance, and shot by a telephoto lens she's clearly not aware of being there. I didn't like the first Dragon Tattoo film. I have no sense that the part of Salander belongs to Rapace the way a lot of people are going to. There is MUCH room for improvement.
