Hollywood Ink: Paula Patton to Help You Forget Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 4
Also in today's Hollywood Ink: More Gravity-defying hijinks from Angelina Jolie... Another Hollywood scion gets the helmer hook-up... Another DeLorean biopic is in the works... and more.
· As rumored, Paula Patton has officially signed on to star alongside Jeremy Renner and some other guy in The Film Formerly Known as Mission Impossible 4. She'll play an operative who works alongside the other guy's franchise-stalwart superagent Ethan Hunt; it commences shooting this fall. [Deadline]
· Angelina Jolie really doesn't want to be in Gravity, the Alfonso Cuaron sci-fi drama about a woman who conjures ways to get home after being stranded in space. She passed on Warner Bros.' second offer, meaning it's probably still down to Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson. Others are being considered, but rumors are that Jolie's aversion may mean the project's dead. We'll see. [Deadline]
· Ezra Miller and Thomas Haden Church are the latest to join Sam "Son of Barry" Levinson's writing-directing debut The Reasonable Bunch, an ensemble wedding comedy that previously cast Demi Moore, Ellen Barkin, Ellen Burstyn and Kate Bosworth. [Variety]
· Speaking of Barry Levinson, his Emmy-winning You Don't Know Jack writer Adam Mazer is the latest writer to pick up the baton in the race to biopic the late, troubled automaker John DeLorean. [THR]
· Aussie actress Jessica McNamee will play Rachel McAdams's sister in The Vow, the amnesiac-wife weepie also starring Channing Tatum and Scott Speedman. [THR]
