All rise for their majesties Shia LaBeouf and Anne Hathaway, who, according to Forbes, earned $1 in salary for every $81 and $67 in profit earned by their most recent films. "Recent" remains pretty vague, though; both Transformers films appear to be factored into LaBeouf's figure, while Hathaway's cites both Bride Wars (a starring role from Jan. 2009) and the billion-dollar-grossing Alice in Wonderland, in which she supported behind even less-expensive Mia Wasikowska and, of course, Johnny Depp, who lands on this list at No. 8. And who even knows how Forbes is calculating profit? Or why Sam Worthington -- the midrange star of two blockbusters and the Biggest Movie Ever less than nine months apart -- is nowhere to be found?
Anyway, apparently no list these days would be complete without the needless thwacking of Jennifer Aniston, whom Forbes slaps down and holds aloft with a straight face -- and in the same breath:
Aniston earns a surprising spot on our list this year considering that many of her recent films have been disappointments at the box office. But two of the films we counted this year, The Bounty Hunter and He's Just Not That Into You both performed well at the box office making her a decent return on investment.
