Hollywood Ink: Katie Holmes Suddenly a Workaholic

Also in today's edition of Hollywood Ink: Tom Cruise has a headline of his own... Magnolia closes a deal we told you about weeks ago... and more...

· Break up Team Katie! This is quite the roll she's on, moving from a tandem of Sundance entries to a horror remake then on to the role of Jackie O. and finally back to the multiplex with Jack & Jill. That's the good news. The... troubling news is that Holmes's name will probably land in the trailer right after the title card reading, "From the creators of Grown-Ups..." Indeed: This the one where Adam Sandler plays twin siblings at odds during Thanksgiving; Holmes will play his wife. Dennis Dugan, meanwhile, is set to direct. [THR]

· Anthony Mackie, Kevin Zegers, and Letters to Juliet hunk Christopher Egan are reportedly reading this week for the role of Tom Cruise's protégé in Mission Impossible 4. As if there's any excuse not to give it to Mackie. This is easy, as long as it's true. [Deadline]

· Magnolia Pictures finally announced its deal to acquire the long-shelved Ryan Gosling/Kirsten Dunst true-crime drama All Good Things -- a deal you knew about last month because you read Movieline!

· Paul Verhoeven has chosen the historical drama Hidden Force as his next project, returning to his youthful stomping grounds of Indonesia (née Dutch East Indies) for the 1900-set adaptation of Louis Couperus's novel. [Variety]

· Jim Caviezel will appear in the B-thriller Transit, starring as a father whose road-tripping clan comes under attack from a band of robbers who, for some reason, stash their booty in his family's SUV. Much chasing ensues, directed by Antonio Negret. [THR]
