The Trailer for Inside Job Will Piss You Off

Calling all Howard Beales! The trailer has arrived for Inside Job, the newest lightning rod documentary from No End in Sight director Charles Ferguson, and it will probably make you want to get up from your chairs, open the window, stick your head out and... you get the idea.

As Inside Job makes abundantly clear, the 2008 financial crisis can be described with a number of doomsday terms -- catastrophic meltdown, full-blown financial crisis, tsunami, Armageddon, nightmare -- but the one that seems more appropriate would be "avoidable." That most of the conspirators involved never even thought of stopping their scorched earth march through the financial system appears to give Inside Job its soapbox; the salaries, denials and complete irresponsibility -- up to and including cocaine use and prostitution -- give the film its bile. By the time Rep. Michael Capuano (D-MA) shows up wailing away on the eight bank CEOs who were brought in front of congress in 2009 and compares them to common thieves, you'll be ready to reach for the nearest pitchfork and/or torch.

VERDICT: Mad as hell and not going to take this anymore.
