So today at the notorious blog People of Wal-Mart, a conversation got underway about whether or not that was really Jennifer Garner photographed shopping at a Wal-Mart in Broken Arrow Bartlesville, Oklahoma. All evidence points to "yes" -- her trademarks dimples, her daughter Violet... oh, and that movie her husband happens to the planning in the area with Terrence Malick. The details came out late last week that Ben Affleck and Rachel Weisz were among the cast members slated to join Malick's latest; a few local sightings of Garner and Affleck before that had led to speculation but no real production news. But once they started really making themselves at home -- being photographed at the local Bass Pro fishing store [!] and, yes, even the Low-Price Leader (Every Day) -- the story began coming together.
And alas, that's also pretty much where it ends. But for the record, I personally will scrounge together a reward for anyone who snaps a picture of Terrence Malick bargain-hunting in Broken Arrow. You know where to find me.
