Piranha 3D Not Sexist, Includes Flying Penis

After following the marketing campaign for Piranha 3D and then watching the Comic-Con footage of a wet-T-shirt-contest-turned-blood-bath that features -- among other atrocities -- a busty woman getting her hair caught in a boat propeller (it doesn't end well), a busty woman getting cut in half by an errant wire, and a busty woman getting bitten on the ass by a giant killer piranha, you would have been well within your rights to assume the entire film was going to be some sexist exploitation of the female body. Not so! And the proof is in a flying penis.

The Daily Beast interviewed Piranha 3D co-star Jerry O'Connell about his Joe Francis-like role in the film -- said the actor, "For legal reasons I'm supposed to say, 'I play someone loosely based on Joe Francis'" -- and revealed this bit of happy news:

"Perhaps nothing will spark quite as much insane screaming from audiences as the sight of actor Jerry O'Connell's penis as it comes flying at them after being bitten off by one of these carnivorous creatures."

And you thought 3D was just a passing fad. For his part, O'Connell just wants you to know that like George Constanza before him, a bit of shrinkage was involved:

"The water's, like, 60 degrees. That's, like, really cold. So any images of my penis that have been captured, well, it's freezing water. It's not my best light. It's not my best angle. If it had been humid, you would see it differently."

Is it too early to call Piranha 3D the classiest movie of the summer?
