James Cameron Inadvertently Slams Breaking Dawn While Talking Avatar Sequels

Lest you think James Cameron is spending his summer vacation sitting on the giant pile of money he made off Avatar, the King of the World is busy working on two other giant piles of money: the Avatar sequels. No deals are signed yet -- nor is there a script -- but Cameron has already had discussions about what the future installments would include. He also has some theories on how he'd like to shoot them. Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon, take some notes.

Speaking with MTV News, the director revealed he would probably shoot the Avatar sequels back-to-back, because with the motion capture technology performances can be shot all at once and then manipulated at a much later date.

"We're actually talking about that -- that's not a decision yet -- but that's something that makes a lot of sense, given the nature of these productions. We can bank all the capture and do cameras over a period of time. [...] The way these sort of back-to-back productions break, the way they fall apart, is that you're trying to do two live-action films back-to-back and you're working on it for like a year and a half, shooting. Everybody's dead -- it's not humanly possible."

Don't tell that to the tireless trio of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattison and Taylor Lautner! Of course there is a solution to this probable problem of Twilight cast exhaustion: change the setting of Breaking Dawn to Pandora and motion capture everything. Can you imagine the ticket sales of an Avatar-Twilight spin-off?
