Our Long National Nightmare Is Over: Snooki Released From Jail

Like Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks and Nelson Mandela, noted freedom fighter Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, was unjustly incarcerated by a fearful nation, who were frightened by her courageous calls for social justice and universal equality. Or maybe she's just a drunk broad who got picked up by the police. But now she's free!

After being arrested by the Seaside Heights, NJ police for "disorderly conduct" yesterday afternoon, Snooki was released on a summons. A police spokesman helpfully explained that "A summons means she'll get a court date, but doesn't have to pay bail to get out of jail. She'll pay a fine when assessed [by a judge]."

Not bad, Snooki! No bail, just a small fine, and what a fine way to let everyone know that your new season of Jersey Shore is starting up soon. But even you might want to be careful of your overtanning. In some of your arrest photos, you bear an uncanny resemblance to a transsexual Oompah Loompah.
