Though a critic begged Wolf to please not write too many celebrity crime episodes, the Emmy-winning producer refused to comply. "That's part of the L.A. landscape," he said. "So we won't have celebrities every week, but we cannot avoid that. I would not sit up here and tell you that we are not going to do stories that are in headlines all over the world."
Does that mean that Wolf would consider incorporating Lindsay Lohan's legal woes and Mel Gibson's angry audio tapes into the series, which premieres Sept. 29 and also features Skeet Ulrich and Alfred Molina?
"Well, we've had O.J.," said Wolf. "I always say that we steal the headlines, not the body count."
And judging by both stars' increasing legal troubles, the actors may even be available to guest-star in their own episodes... which is convenient for Lindsay, since Los Angeles is well within her SCRAM bracelet's range.
