After a few uninspiring and overlit stills left Thor with a reputation as the movie that has the most to prove going into Comic-Con, Marvel has finally released a piece of art for the film that looks pretty freakin' kick-ass. Is there a catch? Well, maybe.
Technically, the new Thor Comic-Con poster (which shows the superhero battling his brother Loki) isn't an image from the film -- instead, it's concept art. Still, I'll take what I can get, as this is the first picture related to the film that conveys action, excitement, and movement. Couldn't Marvel have released this first instead of a series of shots that just show people standing around, swamped by enormous production design?
Fortunately, Captain America won't suffer that same mistake; it got a beautiful teaser poster too, which you can see below:
