Hollywood Ink: Julia Roberts and Ryan Murphy Reunited and Feeling Good

· Never mind that Eat, Pray, Love doesn't hit theaters for another month -- Sony is so happy with the product and the working relationship between Julia Roberts and director Ryan Murphy that they've gone all-in with the duo again on a pitch for an untitled romantic comedy. In the film, Roberts would play a working mother who loses her job and is forced to raise the kids while her previously stay-at-home husband heads to work. So, Mrs. Mom. Murphy gets a $5 million deal (half for writing, half for directing) and Roberts will probably get her standard fee. The bigger question: Why don't these two just team up on an episode of Glee and get it over with already? [Deadline]

Nailed gets nailed, Doug Liman goes on a quest and more Hollywood Ink ahead.

· Hey, remember Nailed, the David O. Russell political satire with Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal that has seemingly been filming for the better part of the last three years? Yeah, well, it's kinda finished. Russell has quit the project because he wasn't happy that the producers were being "squeezed" to cut their fees in half by financiers Ronald Tutor and hopeful Miramax buyer David Bergstein. A new director will be brought on to finish the project and partake in some reshoots. Said Russell in a statement: "The multiple production delays and stoppages, which were caused by David Bergstein and preceded Ron Tutor's direct involvement with me, have now spanned two years, and the circumstances under which the film would now be completed are much different on several fundamental levels than when we embarked several years ago. I, unfortunately, am no longer involved in the project and cannot call it 'my' film. I wish Ron Tutor well." All together now: Alan Smithee credit! [THR]

· Fair Game director Doug Liman has possibly lined up his next project. He's attached to an adaptation of The Last of the Tribe: The Epic Quest to Save a Lone Man in the Amazon from Washington Post correspondent Monte Reel. The film would "chronicle the search for the last surviving member of an Amazon tribe from the perspective of the government agents charged with both verifying his existence and preserving his way of life." And you thought that Avatar sequel was going to take 10 years to make. [Variety]

· According to Production Weekly, Lora Kennedy has begun casting on The Wachowski Brothers next project, the clearly-getting-a-title-change CN9. You'll recall that's their futuristic Iraq war gay love story movie that may or may not star Arianna Huffington. Let's all hope for 3D. [Production Weekly]

· Considering there are planned adaptations of Battleship, Monopoly and maybe even Strawberry Shortcake in the works, that Disney is going ahead with a movie about stone gargoyles coming to life doesn't seem that ridiculous. Lauren Shuler Donner and Jack Leslie will produce and Zoe Green is in talks to develop the story, which is currently a bit...stiff. Ding! [THR/Heat Vision]

· And because it wouldn't be a trade update without some Ridley Scott news, the ubiquitous director and his brother Tony will produce Archangels, a sci-fi romp about a group of agents who battle aliens secretly living amongst us. Tron Legacy helmer Joe Kosinski is attached to direct. [Variety]
