What's On: How Could You Be So Artless?

Bravo's well-executed reality competition Work of Art airs a new episode tonight, and the challenge blends aspects of art and literature. Do you think they'll stack a bunch of Jane Austen novels into a lifelike statue of executive producer Sarah Jessica Parker? Will they pose Tom Colicchio and Padma Lakshmi as Harlequin cover hotties? Will we live? Also on the tube tonight: the second episode of Hot in Cleveland and another grueling round of So You Think You Can Dance.

So You Think You Can Dance [Fox, 8 PM]

The top 10 dancers strut and flail for America's unqualified judgment. At this point it's clear that Mia Michaels is a better judge than Mary Murphy, even if Mia is prone to more crying jags than a lonesome cockapoo. Will she bawl again? Place your bets.

Hot in Cleveland [TV Land, 10 PM]

Joy (Jane Leeves) starts messing around with a younger guy, and it's a harmless lark until a secret from her past is revealed. Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli) cajoles Elka (Betty White) into rejoining the dating world, and Victoria (Wendie Malick)'s new shopping habit becomes an issue. I feel like this show should add four more sitcom veterans and turn this cast into a supergroup. Let's get Lisa Bonet, Rhea Perlman, Jane Curtin, and Rose Marie wrapped up in the Cuyahoga spirit too.

Work of Art [Bravo, 10 PM]

The competing artists must design book covers. Author/artist Jonathan Santlofer is the guest-judge, and I hope he picks winners based on who looks like they've has never read a book in their life. Let's face it, a few of these artistes qualify.

Waitress [Lifetime, 9 PM]

Quaint, yet realistic story of a woman (Keri Russell) who wants to win a pie-baking contest that will help her leave her terrible husband. It sounds like the plot of a Dixie Chicks song, but it's more sophisticated than that. Adrienne Shelly, who wrote, directed, and co-starred in the film, was murdered in 2006 -- but this film now serves as a testament to her smarts and originality. And Keri Russell's hair is at just the right length.
