Movieline's Week in Review: Be Very Afraid

It might seem like a miracle that there's any news to collect here at all, but you'd be surprised what even the most stultifying week in the history of modern pop culture can yield. We do it all for you, Dear Reader. Anyway, it's Friday, so enough already. Drop by this weekend to catch up with Christopher Rosen, and the rest of team ML will see you Monday. Bye! [Presses eject, is shot into space.]

· Dustin Hoffman and Jason Bateman got a little... close. And Hoffman never even called! That's OK, Justin Long and Mike White can tell you how that always ends.

· Salma Hayek, Patrick Stewart and Natalie Portman helped commemorate Awkward Video Week.

· The MTV Movie Awards happened. Cue the inappropriateness.

· High-fives and big thanks to this week's interviewees Steve Zahn, Ryan Kwanten, Stephanie Pratt, Debra Granik, John Hawkes and Dale Dickey, and Verge designee Luke Evans.

· New viral trendsetter Tom Cruise wanted you to believe there's a Les Grossman movie on the way.

· The first season of Glee finally ended. Time to plan for season two, I suppose.

· Recaps! We've got your recaps, including not one, but two episodes of So You Think You Can Dance, Real Housewives of NYC and NJ, The Bachelorette, and America's Got Talent.

· And lists! Soooo many lists: The greatest stand-up comedy specials ever! Actors who should star as superheroes! What you'll hear at David Hasselhoff's celebrity roast! Dream headlines from the Great Hollywood News Drought of 2010! Music biopics worth making! Danny Boyle's Olympic qualifications! The greatest asshole hosts in TV history! Lists, lists, lists.

· New trailers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Tangled, Rango, The Real World: New Orleans, and Big Tits Zombie all received Movieline's Two-Minute Verdict. Mortal Kombat got seven minutes, meanwhile, and Jersey Shore got a full 13.

· Mark Lisanti left our humble fold. All the best, Mark!
