What's On: The Perfection of New Directions

Are you prepared to leave Glee for the summer? Tonight's season finale sees some big cameos, the big showdown of the year, and more scheming from that tracksuited dame with the bullhorn. I'd prefer the soundtrack include every obvious song choice: "The End," "Last Dance," etc. I think Mercedes has some mad Jim Morrison and Donna Summer poses in her.

Glee [Fox, 9 PM]

In the season finale, regionals approach. New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline face off for the lip-syncing glory of a thousand RuPaul's Drag Race episodes. We're treated to another Olivia Newton-John cameo, and that angelic everyman Josh Groban stops by too.

America's Got Talent [NBC, 9 PM]

Season five auditions continue, and Howie's approving chuckle gets a little more delirious. I don't know how anyone will top last week's auditioner Michael Grimm, who looked like Heath Ledger and sang like a tortured country star that Heath Ledger might've played.

Kathy Griffin Does the Bible Belt [Bravo, 10 PM]

The B+ List (at least) celebrity takes on the Jesus-loving crowds of Knoxville, Tennessee. She skewers Sharon Stone, hoarders, and the once-verboten Oprah Winfrey.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion [Encore, 10 PM]

Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow play best friends who prep, preen, and invent new life stories ahead of their 12th annual high school reunion. Their key allies are played by the fabulous Janeane Garofalo and Alan Cumming, and the film's key moment of eternal friendship is aided by Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time," which should be billed as its own character.
