This should surprise exactly no one: After suffering through the final season on 24 with a character arc that was literally made up as it went along -- said executive producer Howard Gordon last month: "There was some other mid-season purpose for her, but I can't remember; even in the beginning, I told her I didn't have much of a part for her" -- Cherry Jones has taken herself out of consideration for an Emmy nomination.
