Movieline's Week in Review: Diff'rent Strokes to Move the World

And so another week ends at Movieline, thus bringing our regular Friday retrospective into sharp, clear and unusually bittersweet focus. It's nothing a double bourbon (or whatever you're drinking; put it on my tab) and a couple days off can't fix, though. From all of us, have a fine weekend, and be sure to join Christopher Rosen here for your Movieline fix in the days ahead. Au revoir!

· Many thanks to this week's interviewees, including George A. Romero, Shannen Doherty, Moment of Truth subjects Chiara Lepora, Arnaud Jeannin and Mark Hopkins, and Verge designee Alicja Bachleda.

· Guillermo del Toro walked out on The Hobbit, meaning we'll have to wait even longer for that Bilbo Baggins MasterCard we've been asking for.

· The deaths of Gary Coleman, Dennis Hopper and Rue McClanahan left us heartsick...

· ...but Joe Biden's Muppet entourage (sort of) cheered us up.

· We clung to Lost and enriched 90210.

· Glee fans at home and on the road were kept in the loop.

· New trailers for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Dinner For Schmucks, The Whistleblower and the CW's Plain Jane all received the Two-Minute Verdict.

· Recaps! We've got recaps, including the season premiere of America's Got Talent, The Hills, Real Housewives of NJ, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Bachelorette.

· And lists! We've got lists, like six color-blind casting options for a hero near you, or three ideas better than Logo's gay-housewives riff, or five ideal comeback vehicles for Charles Grodin, or seven James Cameron characters who could stop the BP oil spill.[Inhaaale]

· And finally, we learned that when life throws you vicious pans, you make Gwyneth Paltrow's delicious fish tacos. Or... something.
