Last Christmas Eve, Sheen was arrested after assaulting and threatening his wife, Brooke Mueller, with a knife, and People now reports that instead of vying for straight probation -- which could lead to a greater sentence if Sheen has any future slip-ups up with the law -- the actor will report to Aspen court on Monday and plead no contest to misdemeanor third-degree assault. Sheen could then immediately start serving his 30 day sentence with the possibility that it might be slashed down to 17 days, and according to TMZ, the Two and a Half Men star's felony menacing charge will be dismissed.
Now, if only Sheen's attorney could work out a last-minute deal regarding the prison's stiff ban on cigarettes.
