Burning Bright Trailer: Is This the Best Tiger vs. Autistic Kid Movie Ever Made?

burning_bright_225.jpgNearly two years ago, American audiences got their first hints to brace themselves for the thriller Burning Bright, which Variety described as "[centering] on a 20-year-old and her autistic little brother who are trapped in a house with a ravenous tiger during a hurricane." Because, you know, it could happen to anyone. While it may have faded from our minds, it was never far from our hearts -- hence the overwhelming surge of emotion to suddenly find the film's trailer online and read that a DVD release is imminent. Go ahead, have a look.

Sure, it might have been nice to see John Steinbeck's play/novel hybrid of the same name given a big-screen go. Nevertheless, a genre thriller directed by Carlos Brooks (who'd previous made the underrated psychological drama Quid Pro Quo) and starring Briana "Daughter of Greg" Evigan, Meat Loaf and an evil Bengal tiger banned from the circus will do in a pinch. Toss in an autistic boy literally boarded into a house with his sister during a hurricane, and... I don't even know. Just be encouraged that it's some kind of classic, as any heady blend of Jaws, Rainman, When the Levees Broke and The Jungle Book must surely be.

VERDICT: Did you see the part where the tiger punches though the drywall? "Sold!" is an understatement.

It did happen to me. And the incident proved the old adage that you don't have to run faster than the tiger, just run faster than your autistic little brother.

  • We opinion that we would similar to the patch (obviously, or one
wouldn\'t buy wet now would ya?) but when the patch arrived he really was wempressed by the detail wen the patch. It\'s a tiny

ruler and sketched shet out - no mas, he would recommend this patch to anyone!

the shipping and service was better - she wasn\'t going to ups a patch so you collect what you quiz, for there.
