American Idol [Fox, 8 PM]
It's a DeWyze-Bowersox (which sounds like a rough-and-tumble law firm) showdown as the two remaining finalists each sing three songs apiece and curry favor with the voting public. Tomorrow's the gigantic finale where we'll see the entire Top 12 perform alongside musical superstars. I'm picturing a Casey James-Tim McGraw duet, and a Siobhan Magnus-Marilyn Manson-Lady Gaga trio, because I believe Idol makes our absinthe dreams come true.
Dancing with the Stars [ABC, 9 PM]
Finale! Will Nicole Scherzinger, Evan Lysacek, or Erin Andrews run away with the season ten trophy? Or will Bruno Tonioli steal the trophy and dress it up like a big phallic ornament for his home koi pond? Tom Bergeron never knows how it'll go, and that means he's stocking up on cynical smiles ahead of time.
NCIS: Los Angeles [NBC, 9 PM]
If you miss this first-season finale, fear not, because this show will almost certain be on for 10 more seasons. Callen [Chris O'Donnell] helps track down a woman who knows about a secret fund that will fuel a war in the Middle East; she also holds a key to his buried past. Sam (LL Cool J) gets to take a rest this episode, but he'll still "hold it down."
Vicky Cristina Barcelona [Showtime, 8 PM]
In one of Woody Allen's more successful comedies of the past decade, Scarlett Johansson and Rebecca Hall vie for Javier Bardem, whose ex-wife (Penelope Cruz, in an Oscar-winning role) still poses a major threat. After this triumph, there was little chance Woody would give in and cast Elizabeth Berkley in a supporting role ever again. (Thanks for the disappointment, The Curse of the Jade Scorpion.)
