Movieline's Week in Review: Cute Overload!

Another adorbs week winds to a close at Movieline, and so we sing our bittersweet goodbyes until Monday. At least some of us do, anyway; expect more sharp, sophisticated and delightful news and commentary (and Cannes coverage) here throughout the weekend. Enjoy, and have a good one!

· Betty White had arguably the week of her life, starting with that whole Internet-mobilized, "hosting-SNL":http://www.movieline.com/2010/05/betty-white-hosts-saturday-night-live-happy-mothers-day-motherfers.php thing before moving on to other high-profile opportunities and garden-variety exploitation.

· Many thanks to this week's interviewees, including Justin Theroux, Jackie Earle Haley, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Fahey, Kenan Thompson, Laura Harring, Troll 2 star and (and new filmmaker) Michael Paul Stephenson, Verge designee Rami Malek, and Moment of Truth subject Daniel Kraus.

· Super 8, Easy A, The Adjustment Bureau and Waiting for Superman all received our Two-Minute Verdict. Inception, not so much.

· Newsweek ran a column about gay actors that practically ground the planet to a halt. Aaron Sorkin will figure it all out for us while we move on to lobbying ABC.

· Hey! What is the kid from Mask doing as the villain in The Green Lantern?

· Recaps! Oh, Lord, the recaps: Glee, American Idol (plus an In Memoriam), Lost, V, Dancing With the Stars, The Hills, Real Housewives of New York and New Jersey, and Celebrity Apprentice. And get ready for your summer reality!

· If Joaquin Phoenix's mock-documentary is as great as it sounds, here's hoping one of these folks buys it.

· The Lost finale countdown continued with a little help from Marilyn Manson, Scooby-Doo and some prop auctioneers.

· RIP, Lena Horne -- you brought out the ace speller in all of us.

· You know what cost nearly $237 million in muffin apology baskets and Mel Brooks honorariums? Robin Hood. You know what fell flat on its face at its Cannes debut? Also Robin Hood. Not even Ridley Scott could bear to look.

· Oh, Christ, not this again.
