Modern Family's cast is heading on an exotic trip to Hawaii, and if Manny starts some funky business with tiki torches, I'm moving straight over to American Idol, where the world's biggest pop star is slated to perform her latest earworm.
American Idol [Fox, 9 PM]
Lady Gaga and Harry Connick Jr. perform during the elimination show, where either Aaron "Fetus the Magnificent" Kelly, Casey "Smile Anyway" James, Michael "Cool Whip Commercial" Lynche, Lee "Ole Blue Balls" DeWyze, and Crystal "Win Already" Bowersox all face the axe. Last year, Gaga performed a Transylvanian version of "Poker Face" on the show, and I suspect she'll follow that up with a somber, more Slovenian take on "Telephone."
Modern Family [ABC, 9 PM]
The entire Pritchett family ends up venturing to Hawaii after Gloria surprises Jay with an island vacation. Do you know what isn't touted enough about Modern Family? I cannot think of another show besides Rugrats where extended family isn't either distant or strange. Cousins: They can be like you! Props to the Pritchett clan for continuing to bring back family values in a cool way.
America's Next Top Model [CW, 8 PM]
The contestants gussy up for a five-photo shoot on the set of The Lord of the Rings in New Zealand and meet Kiwi actress Sarah McLeod. Tyra is the "main photographer" for the shoot, which means the girls need to practice their not-laughing. On the flight home, trouble ensues in the cabin when one of the girls realizes Tyra is the pilot.
Frida [IFC, 8 PM]
Best Actress nom Salma Hayek and Alred Molina star as the art world's superstar couple Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera in this biopic about Kahlo's activism and life following a terrible bus accident. Watch especially if you want to learn more about Frida than what Madonna says in soundbites once a month.
