Bill Condon Has Heard Enough of Your Questions Now, Twilight Fans

Twilight Nation has been hormonally atwitter ever since Bill Condon was announced as Summit Entertainment's choice to direct the franchise's final installment Breaking Dawn. Attempting to harness this energy over the weekend, the Oscar-winner invited fans to submit questions and concerns about the undertaking ahead. That's probably the last time he'll do that.

At last count Condon's alternately heartfelt ("The wonderful world that Stephenie has created has obviously struck a chord with you, and I don't think it's difficult to see why") and hilarious ("Since making Gods and Monsters thirteen years ago, however, I've been yearning for a return to a story with Gothic overtones") missive has netted some 3,055 comments from the Twi-hard faithful. They range from the succinct and pointed...

Cheryl Reinhardt: Ok, I still have to ask as everyone else is, Will Breaking Dawn be split into two movies?

...to the practical...

Stephanie Walls: When will the casting director be announced? Any requirements for headshots?

...to the OCD-product placement fringe...

Kathy Muthart: Please no 3D and give us 3 hours or give us two movies! Please do not cut out the time when Bella has to plan for Renesmee's future and meets with J. Jenks, I can see in my head the scene where she just lets go and embraces her newfound power behind the wheel of the shiny silver volvo. The denali coven will be wonderful to see and well as all of the visiting "friends" from all over the world. Please don't leave out Renesmee's locket or the inside of the cottage or the length of time spent on Isle Esme! Most of all thank you for seeking our input, hopefully it will make a difference and help you out.

...to the purely baffling...

Joanne Cruz: Awwww!!!!! Are you pro-JacobxRenesmee?

...to the internecine back-bitey...

Hope Paul: Little details in movies before like the colour of Edwards SILVER volvo changing to black was un-needed! Please keep little details the same! I would also like to see the scene where Bella is protecting her "family" from the Volturi more than just a 5 minute type thing, lots goes on in this scene that needs to be shown.

Audrey I: please please keep them close to the book, and remember that this is mostly a love story. eclipse has way to much action i can already tell from JUST the trailer and the volturi are not in the book that often .. why waste 4-5 minutes on the volturi when you could use that 5 minutes for something we all want to see (bella & edward lol)

... to... you get the picture. If only Dreamgirls and last year's Oscars had commanded this kind of input! But then Condon probably wouldn't be having to direct a Twilight movie, so really, who knows?
