TV Bites: A Daytime Talk Show For Tori Spelling
· Good news for Tori Spelling fans: ABC is developing an hour-long daytime talk show for the reality star and an undetermined male co-host. While in the early stages of development, ABC is certain about one thing: they want a Will & Grace vibe between Spelling and her undetermined co-host. Another talk show for ABC means the network will have to wrestle a morning time slot from its affiliates, which is sometimes a tricky process, or else kill off one of its soaps. If neither of those options work out, ABC could sell the talk show to a cable network. [LAT]

· Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is angling for a reality show which would allow the NBC special correspondent to help middle Americans with tasks like "fix[ing] the school in Boise or get[ting] another restaurant in Allentown." Any buyers? [Reuters]
· TV Land has gone ahead and ordered 10 episodes of Retired at 35, the network's second original sitcom ever. Johnathan McClain will star as a successful young businessman who decides to leave NYC and move into the Florida retirement home of his parents, played by George Segal and Jessica Walter. [THR]
· Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar have signed a two-year deal with Sony Pictures TV to develop series for the studio. [THR]
· At the end of May, Scripps Networks Interactive will launch the Cooking Channel, a network being described as a younger version of the Food Network. [The Wrap]
· Congratulations to Monica Potter -- NBC has renewed its freshman dramedy Parenthood for a second season. [THR]

A "younger version of Food Network"? So, how to boil Ramen in the microwave? How to make mud pies? What does that even mean?!
Don't they know that the soothing tones of a sloshed/Valiumed Ina Garten as she pours another bottle of rum into her coconut cake recipe is fun for ALL ages?

I can not inform you of how many times We've attempted to make this, but I simply am unable to cook it correctly. But I really like making brand new recipes, so perhaps I will ask my spouse to cook next time
